Help, please!
Oh, that's not what you were thinking? Maybe it was just me, then. Either way, you have to admit that it's a valid question.
Anyway, I have assigned myself a goal recently. I'm going to try to at least one thing I've never tried every single day, and keep a log of it in this blog. "Something I've never tried" is a phrase I'll be using very loosely - it could be anything from a new type of food, to taking a new road I've never been down, to cliff jumping. Then, whenever I feel like it (which is not gonna be often, let's face it), I'll write about it here. Fun for everyone, right?
So I need the help of anyone who wants to give their input. Please suggest anything, and I mean anything! I'm starting a list but I don't want to think of it all myself, because I'll mostly think of things that I would be doing anyway. :)

Happy Summer Solstice!
So far, the only real thing of note I've done this summer is head up to Duluth with Anthony for a couple days. Jumping into lake superior (!) was amazing. It was comparable to submerging myself in ice water, and I thought I was going to DIE. I also had some really, really great sushi, some Pizza Luce (at this point it's like a tradition, I think), and in general just had a great time. Duluth in the spring/early summer is so much better than Duluth in the ass-freezing, nipple-hardening winter.
Upcoming plans include (hopefully) another trip to Duluth, or somewhere comparably cute, beach time, and work, work, work & work. This upcoming Tuesday, the 22nd, is my 21st birthday, and I couldn't be more excited. I believe the plans include the beach, Toy Story 3 and Tum Rup Thai. That sounds like a pretty damn good birthday to me. Then, on Saturday is Twin Cities PRIDE, which is one of my favorite days of the year, followed up by a birthday party for lil' old me. I'm unbelievably excited for the upcoming week; I imagine this is how Lindsay Lohan felt after she tried snorting cocaine off Samantha Ronson's bicep for the first time.
All in all, I'm looking forward to a summer filled with fun, friends, work (ugh), and jamming out to my current jams (which, as far as SUMMA JAMZ go, are Miley Cyrus' Permanent December and Lee Jung Hyun's Suspicious Man.)

Quick Update
I've been really good though. I'm learning to be happy with the things I have in life and be excited about what I will have. Life has been pretty damn good to me thus far.
I'm in a good place.

"Like ripping off a band-aid"
All I know is things will never be the same.
This is going to be way more work than it has any business being.
Nine, Ten and Eleven
I took this picture at the park one day. I don't consider myself an aspiring photographer by any means, but I really enjoy this picture.
Day 10 — A photo of you taken over ten years ago
Circa 1998. Yeah, I was fly back then. Check the sexy pose with the pole. I'm like an honorary member of the Cyrus family.
Day 11 — A photo of you taken recentlyI took this picture just for this blog, so as of right now it's the most recent picture of me in the world! That's pretty intense.

3-for-1
Day 04 - Your favorite book
As sad as this is, it is very rare that I actually read a book. I love to read and I enjoy sitting down with an interesting book, but I simply almost never get around to it. I know that nobody is to blame for this except for yours truly, but something that always makes us feel better as human beings is placing the fault on something else. (Insert some nonsense excuse about busy schedules and modern day society, throw in a peppering of the media destroying our minds and maybe a couple pictures of Miley Cyrus in her bra with appropriate "OMG SHE'S A CHILD" captions).
The last book I read that I really, really loved was Disco Bloodbath. Well, actually, the version I read was renamed after the film adaptation Party Monster, complete with pictures of the cast on the front cover. However, I much prefer the original cover/title. Unfortunately, actually getting my hands on an original copy would cost me an arm, leg and/or firstborn child, and I'd say maybe one of those is worth trading, tops. Disco Bloodbath is a firsthand account of the rise and fall of the notoriously self-centered, narcissistic and vain Michael Alig, the self-proclaimed king of New York City's Club Kids. It's a ridiculous true tale of transvestites, parties, drugs, sexual promiscuity, drugs, a now legendarily grisly murder, drugs, clubs, drugs, drama and drugs. I may have forgotten to mention the fact that these people did drugs, with their choice of poison being Special K, which, by my understanding, is a pretty nasty beast. It's penned by Alig's old and sometimes closest friend (the term "frenemy" may apply here), James St. James, who is at times witty, heart-wrenching, and nearly as easy to despise as Alig himself. I'd recommend it.
Day 05 - Your Favorite Quote
I feel like nearly all of these posts need to start with a disclaimer. "Note - I don't have a 100% favorite _____. Here's something I like!" That's how this little project is turning out. Suffice it to say, I don't really have a favorite quote of all time. I'm not one of those people with a million ~inspirational~ quotes haphazardly piled onto my Facebook page. The only quote I can think of that recently stuck with me as remotely noteworthy was one that actually immediately reminded me of a famous Kurt Cobain quote, "I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not." The quote I'm about to throw at you, however, is by the legendary Miss Britney Spears. So there's that to weigh in.
"I don't want to be the kind of person that people want me to be. I want to be the kind of person that I want to be." - The Holy Spearit
No, this quote isn't life changing or anything, as it basically boils down to "be yourself," which is a lesson I learned from Aladdin when I was 4. However, I like Britney. So there's that.

Day 3
As with songs, I'd say it's difficult for me to choose a favorite TV program. However, that's not because the choices are too vast, but because I really don't watch that much television. Time spent in front of the set is usually spent whilst doing other things, and when I do invest myself in something it usually would still not be counted as my "favorite."
Thus, Wolf's Rain isn't my favorite TV show of all time. It isn't even my favorite anime, for that matter. It is, however, the program I'm the most invested in right now (despite the fact that I haven't had a chance to continue it for a couple weeks). The animation is beautiful, the story is unique and intriguing, and it's just really damn good. Once finals are over, I'll hopefully finish this series and move on to the next one, like Jay Z.

Day Two
Day 02 - Your Favorite Movie
It's no secret that I'm something of an animation nerd. There is just something about classic, traditional handdrawn animation that's (don't hit me for using a cliche) magical. It's a painstakingly thorough art, and when done well it is clear to the viewer that he or she is watching a meticulously crafted labor of love. Knowing this, it's only logical that I have an affinity for Disney's animated films, and that my favorite is the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty. The artwork in this movie is absolutely stunning, with backdrops inspired by classic midievil paintings complemented with a musical score adapted from the original Tchaicovsky production. Plus, Maleficent is the head bitch in charge of Disney villains, the original BAMF.
Honorable Mentions are Kill Bill (Vol 1 and 2), Josie and the Pussycats, Jennifer's Body, Ponyo, and just about half of Disney's animated films.

Day One
Picking one definitive favorite is not so much difficult to do as it is impossible. If you can pick one song that you can call your favorite song of all time, I can honestly say that I don't understand the way your mind works. Narrowing it down to 10 songs would even be quite a challenge, as I'd like to think that my music taste is ever expanding, and this list is subject to change on a week-by-week basis. However, I somehow need to do this post without listing my 53 favorite songs of all time. What I've done is picked 8 songs that I feel somehow sum up my favorite music. These are not necessarily my 8 favorite songs ever. Without further ado, and in no particular order, I will start with:
1.Circa Survive - Kicking Your Crosses Down
From the album On Letting Go
2.Britney Spears - To Love Let Go
A demo recorded during the sessions for the album Blackout
3.Jaguar Love - Georgia
From the album Take me to the Sea
I couldn't find a YouTube link of the song, but here's a pop-up player
4.Pogo - Alice
From the album Wonderland
5.Brand New - Daisy
From the album Daisy
6.Marina and the Diamonds - Mowgli's Road
From the album The Family Jewels
7.My Bloody Valentine - Only Shallow
From the album Loveless
8.Kelis - Acapella
From the album Flesh Tone

Leaps of faith
Lately, I've been doing my best to work on it. I figure if I can never make a decent leap of faith, I'll never be able live my life to the fullest. And last I checked, you only live once (unless you're Hindu or a fashion trend). I need to hold my breath, close my eyes and leap, removing the safety net from below me and allowing myself to plunge face first into real life. I'm going to take this life that's been given it to me and make it my bitch. It's easier said than done, but crazier and much more earth-shattering things have been known to happen. George W. Bush was elected president, Jesus rose from the dead and Ke$ha showered earlier this year (allegedly). I'm going to do something with my life, apathy and fear won't grab hold of me forever. They can suck it.

Well, it's here
I opened it, and now I don't feel like posting. I will one day, though!
